Impressions from a recent trip to Venice. Retracing our footsteps from our first visit, 30 years ago. Although overcrowded if you go in high season, both our visits have been in early December, when the crowds are at a minimum.
There are disadvantages though – its a little too cold to sit outside and people watch. On the other hand the bars are very warm and welcoming with a fine selection of ‘Cicchetti’ – the Venetian version of tapas.
And with out so many people around – the shopping is a good deal easier, even if it was only window shopping!
